Q. How can SCI help me with financing?
A. Many banks are leery about financing a 15 year old car. SCI has worked with many banks to let them know the value of the Nissan Skyline. If you need help with financing feel free to call us and we can guide you in what steps you need to take with your bank.
Q. Are Right-Hand-Drive cars legal in Canada?
A. RHD vehicles are perfectly legal in Canada. We have contacted insurance agencies specifically regarding this matter and have their assurance that there will never be any problems making a claim on a RHD vehicle.
Q. Can I convert my Skyline to Left-Hand-Drive?
A. Yes, but currently the cost of converting a Skyline to LHD is between $10,000 and $15,000 and will take approximately 2 months to complete.
Q. Do you buy your Skylines from auctions in Japan?
A. Unlike other importers, we purchase the majority of our cars from private individuals in Japan through our own SCI staff. This allows us to inspect the vehicles and be assured of their quality. Unfortunately, most vehicles on the auctions in Japan are of lower quality compared to vehicles available on the private market.
Q. How much does it cost to insure a Skyline in B.C.?
A. Our customers with good driving records have found insurance to cost between $85 to $145 per month.
Q. Are Skylines expensive to run / service?
A. Not at all, Skylines share a lot of common parts with other vehicles in our country. We also carry a large selection of fair-priced hard to find Skyline parts. In addition, our customers receive a greatly discounted shop rate at our fully equipped service shop.
Q. Why don't you have any R33 or R34 Skylines?
A. Canadian law dictates that only vehicles 15 yrs. or older can be imported into Canada. There are no exceptions to this law. It will be 2009 before we can import R33's and 2013 before R34's will be available.
